**Castle Battle Rampage – Character Designs**

These characters were created for *Castle Battle Rampage*, a fast-paced multiplayer action combat game I was designing around two to four opposing medieval castles locked in ridiculous, chaotic warfare.

Each faction had a slightly chess-piece-inspired quality, giving the characters a bold, iconic read while still keeping them exaggerated and full of personality. The game had a very tongue-in-cheek tone, with a comedic medieval attitude that leaned into absurdity in places — a little bit of *Monty Python* energy — which inspired designs like the Dark Knight and the Sexy Wizard.

The core idea was that players would try to sack their opponents’ castles while defending their own. At each respawn, you never knew exactly which character you were going to get, adding an unpredictable, party-game quality to the combat.

The environments were designed to be highly dynamic, packed with traps, hazards, and ridiculous ways to turn the battlefield against your opponents. Castles could be physically torn apart during the fight, so by the end of a match, the grand medieval strongholds would often be reduced to rubble, with the remaining players still battling it out in the wreckage.
